Noodles?

if you asked me going into last night who sits i would have yelled Regin. He looked horrific the first 2 games and I would argue cost us the 3rd goal against devs and the tying goal aginst Columbus. I feel like someone told him though b/c he had a great game last night. heck of a shot too. My choice now would be PBR.

I didn't see the game last night but judging from the comments and the previous 2 games, PMB should sit.

PMB has been a ghost all 3 games so he should be the one to sit but who knows with this team

"I was reminded that this has worked in the past as both Andrew MacDonald and Trevor Smith were sent to Utah in the ECHL years ago and came back new players."

The question is did it really work?

I thought Regin has looked the best out of the new additions which isn't saying much. PMB has been invisible the whole time.

PMB brings nothing to the table.......crappy wants him to muck it up a bit? the guys tiny, and soft.....he's below average offensively. they NEVER should have signed him. Hes filler until strome takes that spot

this message board is great.
Last year - all Bailey and Nielsen haters. Now you cant find one negative comment.
this year - Hate Regin, Hickey, Strait. Regin Scores, he is now off the list. LOL.

But enough about that.
The guys that have most impressed me this season not named Tavares.

1st star - Fran Nielsen - He doing it all. He has always been a great centre but he have way more confidence in his offensive game this year. His passes were more impressive than they goals scored last night.
2nd Star Grabner - He looks stronger and he given it all on ever shift.
3rd star Nabakov - he has looked great in all 3 games. Unfortunate for us. Cappy will burn him out and there will be a game he shelled in near future. I hope it not this friday.

If we going to be successful, we need incorporate poulin with some starts.

Finally, How about them Rangers. Im still baffled how all the guys on TSN, NHL still rank the rangers ahead of us. I cant wait till the all swallow there words.

With PMB out and Clutterbuck in... that is huge.

More grit... I just hope they sit Bouchard.

I know we all agree on it... but does Cappy?

If Bouchard isn't scoring... he is of no use to the team.

I have to admit Regin picked up his game a bit last night... hopefully he builds off it.

why im happy Streit is gone. and clafication to why i think our defense is the best its been in years.

1) Streit is already at -2 for flyers and its only first few games of season
2) Islanders team is already more postive on plus/minus.
3) Nabby stats are better when his dman are there to clean up rebounds.
4) I Donovan. Classic example why its good to develop dman and hone their skills before jumping into NHL. that why im so excited for what is on the come with Reinhard, Pollack, Pedin and Mayfield.

Lets get something straight. Andy MacDonald might not be a top pairing dman, I but i would love this guy still at our 5-6 guy when the kids make the team in few years.

I don't remember anyone shtting on Neilsen. Bailey was a common villain on these boards... deservedly so at times. This is the Isles board.. This is where u vent on your team. no?

Regin deserved what he got b/c he flat out stunk the first 2 games. He was clearly the weak link on the team those games. I am still pissed at the missed clear twice on the PK against devs that they ended up scoring as the power play expired... He followed that up with an imediate give away in the second game on his first shift and about 7 more give aways during the game. Then just for fun on the second goal he took out our D-man instead of the forward who ended up knocking the puck in on the doorstep. That clearly cost us a point... He had a great game last night and a great goal, but I would still not be surprised if he sat on Friday. Cal is going to play...

Hickey has played exceptionally well but gets his arse kicked every game. That worries me..

I agree with your 1-4.. but strongly disagree with your last point. Amack is not physical but is clearly one of our best D-men. I don't think he gets enough credit.

I brought this up on the previous thread, you can include Jason Clark as well. That said, there's a big difference between sending fringe/depth players down for icetime and a skilled player. The ECHL is not a great place to hone offensive skills for the NHL. I have to believe there's more to this than simply getting him more icetime.

3 games in and hes been the only player to be completely invisible. I forget hes even playing at times. No one else deserves to be scratched on offense at this point but him.

Can't decide what makes me happier
The isles winning 6-1
Or
The Rags getting exploited that they're actually an overrated team, destroyed 9-2, and a rookie getting 4 goals with one between the legs
